exciting opportunity! We are looking to add an experienced
Estimator to our estimating team. Position Purpose: The Estimator
is responsible for working collaboratively with Project Teams,
Sub-Contractors, and Sales determining projected time frame needed
to complete a project, labor, material, and budget. The Estimator
works directly with Subcontractors / Supplies obtaining bids/quotes
on materials and services needed for various commercial

Summary: The primary job of the Estimator is developing and
maintaining relationships with Sub-Contractor / Suppliers,
creating, and analyzing cost estimates and project budgets,
managing project costs, communicating effectively with both
internal and external project team members. Essential Duties: 1.
Collaborate with project team on the start-to-finish cycle of new
and existing projects ensuring that estimates are completed within
the designated time frame, budget and scope2. Analyze project
plans, specifications, and scope of work to determine project costs
and produce detailed estimates3. Follow up with contractors on
bids, providing feedback focusing on maintaining collaborative
relationship, competitive pricing and material availability4.
Analyze project risks and contingencies, considering them in the
estimation process5. Conduct cost comparisons and evaluate the
financial impact of different approaches and scenarios, identifying
alternative materials, construction methods and cost saving
strategies6. Collaborate with the sales and business development
teams to review bid documents and gather necessary documents7.
Participate in bid review meetings, providing insights and
recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of bids8. Supplier
and Subcontractor management9. Stay updated on industry trends,
market conditions and material costs10. Other duties and tasks as
needed.Essential Areas of Responsibility: 1. Stay updated on
industry trends, construction materials, technologies, and pricing
fluctuations2. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers
and subcontractors, ensuring reliable and competitive pricing3.
Provide regular reports and updates to management on estimating
activities, project costs and bid performanceKey Competencies: 1.

Experience Requirements: 1. 2-year degree in Construction
Management, Accounting, or applicable area2. 5+ years of
estimating, procurement management experience3. 2 years of
experience as a Project Manager in Commercial Construction
(preferred) 4. In-depth knowledge of commercial construction
industry methods, practices, materials, and tools involved in
construction5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with
the ability to interpret project documents 6. Self-directed leader
with excellent organizational, communication and project management
skills, effectively and efficiently managing multiple project bids
simultaneously 7. Must be collaborative, flexible, innovative and
an excellent collaborative driver focused on ensuring positive
working relationships with subcontractors, vendors and APX team
members to meet/exceed the needs of the business8. Ability to
manage change, solve problems and work in ever changing situations
with a professional understanding of urgency and effective
adaptability skills resulting in effective production and quality
on all projectsPhysical Demands: 1. Must be able to work in various
conditions from office, field, client locations and job sites2.
Must be able to work with various office equipment in various
environments3. Must wear required PPE at all times and follow all
safety requirements while on job sites4. Must be able to frequently
sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time and distanceMental
Demands: 1. Ability to simultaneously address multiple complex
priorities and problems 2. Work under high pressure and safety
sensitive situations in a positive and collaborative manner 3.
Strong-problem solving-skills and ability to exercise independent
