Job Description:
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory
/ Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift:
Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: 2 Years
Required License: Valid Respiratory Care License Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS Must-Have: - CRT or RRT
through NRBC - Experience with all ages including infants -
Critical care and NICU experience desired - Strong communication
and clinical skills Description: Will accept CRT or RRT. First-time
travelers accepted with required experience. Autonomous in practice
requiring strong communication, clinical skills, and experience
with critical and neonatal care. Prepare for managing up to 20
patients per shift or 40 per day. Responsibilities include rapid
response and airway management. Perform ABGs, EKG, and nebulizer
treatments. Conduct hyperinflation, chest physiotherapy, and
invasive/noninvasive ventilation. Monitor CO2 and Capnography.
Suctioning and Tracheostomy care are also included in
responsibilities. Candidates may float within the hospital as
needed. Candidates must have experience with all relevant
procedures and patient care techniques. Compliance with health and
safety regulations is expected.
