The Cyber Fusion Center is the core of Target's security team, fostering innovation, learning, and engineering excellence. Position Overview
We seek a skilled, self-motivated engineer to develop a Case Management and Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR) platform to support Target's Incident Response team (CSIRT). This role involves custom development and management of open source and commercial applications to assist CSIRT analysts in cyber threat investigation and remediation. Security knowledge is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining security tooling, supporting incident response activities, and collaborating across teams. Job duties may evolve based on business needs.
About You
Basic Requirements:

• 
  
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  
• 3+ years of software development experience with full cycle project implementation
  
• Expertise in full-stack development: frontend, backend, database
  
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Python
  
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or React
  
  Preferred Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Experience with cybersecurity vendor products (e.g., SOAR, Case Management, Incident Response tools)
    
  • Knowledge of Typescript, Node.js, Python, Golang
    
  • Experience developing automation scripts in Python
    
  • Expertise in developing SOAR integrations and workflows
    
  • Knowledge of data pipelines (ETL)
    
  • Experience with Redis, Kafka, or message queue systems
    
  • Database administration skills (Postgres, ElasticSearch)
    
    Work Arrangement
    This role supports a Hybrid/Flex work model based on Target's needs, requiring onsite presence at the MN headquarters and virtual work as needed. Work outside the country is not permitted unless specified.
