Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1 years
School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A school district in
South St. Paul, Minnesota, is seeking a short-term Substitute
School Social Worker to provide essential coverage at the
elementary school level (Grades K5). This contract role is designed
to support approximately 550 students through at least April 6th,
with the possibility of extension based on district requirements.
Responsibilities include: Delivering social-emotional and
behavioral support to elementary students Participating in and
contributing to intervention teams alongside school counselors and
psychologists Facilitating classroom lessons focused on
social-emotional learning Conducting small group instruction and
providing one-on-one support as needed Collaborating closely with
building staff to promote overall student success and well-being
The substitute social worker will be an integral part of a
dedicated student services team including a principal, assistant
principal, school counselor, and school psychologist, ensuring a
cohesive approach to addressing student needs. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (BSW) or Masters Degree (MSW) in Social Work from
a CSWE-accredited program Active licensure through the Minnesota
Board of Social Work PELSB active license required This role is
ideal for professionals with a strong background in school social
work who are adept at supporting young students emotional and
behavioral development within a collaborative school environment.
